Museum Johannes Reuchlin

In 2008 the municipal museum for Johannes Reuchlin (1455-1522), the Pforzheim humanist, was established in the rebuilt extension to the collegiate choir of the castle church. He called on Christians, Jews and Muslims to engage in dialogue. He created the basis for the translation of the Bible into German and became a pioneer of the Enlightenment. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe called him a "miracle sign".

The multimedia exhibition gives an insight into the work of the humanist, who was an early advocate of human rights and tolerance.
